Overview

The mission of the Center for Cardiovascular Bioinformatics and Modeling (CCBM) is to develop new methods for the representation, storage, analysis and modeling of biological data, and to use these quantitative approaches to better understand cardiovascular function in both health and disease. The CCBM was founded in February 2003 and has formal recognition as a Center within the Whiting School of Engineering, and within the Institute for Molecular Cardiobiology of the School of Medicine. Center faculty have primary appointments in several academic departments and divisions of The Johns Hopkins University including the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, and the Division of Cardiology. The Director of the CCBM is Professor Raimond L. Winslow. Internal and External Advisory Boards provide guidance and oversight of Center activities.
