Our first full reconstruction of a canine heart.
This heart has been capped near the base such that both ventricles are still present. More basal slices do exist where the ventricles begin to open up (the RV into th epulmonary artery and the LV into the aorta) and the atria begin to appear. These slices may be reconstructed at a later date if needed.
NOTE: A significant portion of the epicardial surface was deformed (flattened) during the fixing process.
